High availability embedded systems

Goal: The aim of the lecture is to familiarize students with basics of High Availability Embedded Systems.
Course description: During the course the student will get knowledge about the theoretical and practical problems of highly reliable embedded systems and the possible solutions of these problems. Through the evolution of microcontrollers, the known architectures, controller peripheries, communication possibilities and other typical properties will be explained on the theoretical course. The hardware and software redundancy are highlighted field on this course.
The topic covers the application development with .NET Gadgeteer. This introduce the attendees into the OOP based software development of Embedded Systems in C#. The students practice the programming techniques of Embedded Systems using the FEZ Spider Starter Kit. Each task presents the features of the different modules attached to the demo panel (push button, LED, display, special modules, etc.) as well as their programming possibilities. Therefore, the labs emphasise the modern programming methods of Embedded Systems. Each task is stand alone, and is separated from the others, so they can be accomplished independent
