While ERP inetgrates all the core processes that are needed to run a company: finance, manufacturing, HR, supply chain, services, procurement, … it still has well defined and (also) separately functioning components. The task is to analyse a company and its functional operations and to identify a certain field that needs IT support. While looking into the operations of the given field students need to understand the underlying tasks and processes and their need for data. Based on this understanding a database plan has to be established and a program has to be created that is able to support the task under scrutiny.
