Immunity and cancer: estimating lymphocyte population dynamics and migration towards tumor cell targets.

In the quest for effective pharmacological approaches to tumor control, reduction and elimination, immunological approaches are being evaluated with potentially dramatic success. This research line studies the interaction of immune and tumor cells in-vitro, with slide, Organ-On-Chip or organoid preparations. The work is conducted in collaboration with biologists and aims at building computational models able to represent and explain cell dynamics so as to allow the evaluation and optimization of different therapy schemes in-silico.
