Kubernetes Community Day Budapest returns on Friday 30 October 2026, this time at Obuda University. It is a community-organised conference put together by the Hungarian cloud native community, running two tracks of technical talks alongside hands-on conversations, and closing the day with a party rather than a closing slide.

What makes the day worth the trip is who stands on stage. The speakers are engineers who run Kubernetes and cloud native systems in production and talk about how that work actually goes, rather than vendors presenting products. The opening keynotes come from László Kollár and Piotr Trębacz.

The audience is just as mixed, from seasoned engineers and developers to professionals and students meeting containers for the first time, and the conversations in the glass-walled aula between sessions are as much a part of the event as the talks themselves.
