Software Engineering Institute

The Institute’s teaching and research portfolio is related to software development in the broader sense: from design, through implementation and testing, to operation. In addition to the theoretical background (programming and algorithm theory) expected from university teaching, and in line with the reputation of the faculty, a special emphasis is placed on practice-oriented training (programming languages and techniques).

The faculty members have extensive industry experience and contacts in R&D, which gives them a solid knowledge of current trends (image processing, heuristics, Deep Learning, High Performance Computing, etc.). The practical experience gained from these development projects has not only been integrated into everyday teaching, but also allows us to offer interested students the opportunity to get involved in research tasks.
