Overview
Center for eXtended Reality, Convergence and Open Sharing System(COSS), Chung-Ang University and the College of Virtual Convergence is hosting the “Global Start-up Design Thinking Hackathon Day” to provide opportunities for domestic and international university students with capabilities in the future advanced fields of immersive media to drive successful global commercialization and growth.
Purpose
The event aims to encourage global entrepreneurial challenges among domestic and international university students with innovative ideas and technologies related to immersive media and to promote global networking among the students.
Contents
This program will identify global student startup teams and create and disseminate successful commercialization models. It will offer “information sharing and collaboration matching through networking between startups and experts,” “specialized education through XR-related production programs,” and “close mentoring matching to enhance the start-up items of global students.”
Participants will have the opportunity to explore and receive coaching from immersive media startups, share business model development, company building concepts, and management know-how, and engage in prototyping and development.

- Hackathon Period: September 23th, 2024 (Mon) – September 26th, 2024 (Thu)
- Startup Items: Startup items related to Immersive media (XR, VR, AR, Metaverse, etc.) or media (Games, Video, Animation, Design, etc.)
- Application Due date: August 18th, 2024 (Sun)
- Announcement of Selected Participants: August 19th, 2024 (Mon)
